San Diego County Fair Deals

What’s the top of the Summer without a great day or evening at the San Diego County Fair? Between the shows, contests, attractions, live entertainment, displays, and much more, you are bound to get your money’s worth! The Frugal Fairgoer's Guide on Tickets & Promotions section of the San Diego Fair's site offers AMAZING deals, that you must check out, especially if you have a big group or have young children who plan on going on rides! We highly advise buying admission and ride packages. Last year, by doing so, we even got subscriptions to three magazines for free, just by purchasing our admission and ride tickets in advance!

The following are great ways to save at the San Diego County Fair - Saturday, June 14 through Sunday, July 6 (closed June 16 and 23):

Go to the Fair on Tuesday, June 17, for just a buck (and a $10.00 minimum purchase at Ralphs grocery stores). These special tickets are available only at Ralphs supermarkets and will not be sold at the Fairgrounds. The tickets will be available starting May 7; check back for a list of stores. Also, if you have an Entertainment Book, check in the back for Ralph's coupons ($ off your groceries). Ralphs Locations See you on Opening Day!
Costco Special: Del Mar Fair Value Pass includes 4 admission passes, 4 medium drinks, 1 parking pass, and 50 ride tickets for $52.79 (no "black out" dates).
Tuesdays are Kids' Day! Children 12 and younger are admitted free on Tuesdays, June 17 and 24, and July 1. (Admission for ages 6-12 other days is $6.00.)
Read and get in free! Children 12 and younger who read 10 or more age-appropriate books, and have that verified by a teacher or librarian, get free admission any day of the Fair. (Regular child's admission is $6.00.) Click the link for details.

In the military? Buy your tickets on base and save!
Enter a contest: Enter one of our one-day Entry Department contests, and you get free admission to the Fair.
Go on Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Day: Enjoy the rides all day long for one price. You can, each Wednesday and Thursday during the Fair.
Military & Group Sales: gather your friends together for maximum savings! Get their Unlimited Ticket, a season pass to the Fair, for the price of a one-day admission!
Free parking: Park free every day at Horsepark, on the corner of Via de la Valle and El Camino Real, east of Interstate 5. The Fair's has free shuttle buses run from 9:00AM until midnight every day the Fair is open. See site for all of the details!
