There are plenty of ways to get San Diego Zoo tickets cheaper than the regular admission prices at the front entrance. Keep in mind, however, that your money is going to a great cause, as The Zoological Society is not government funded, and a portion of your money helps to rescue vanishing species. You should have no problem getting at least 10% off admission to the Zoo, but there are many discount opportunities out there. Weigh your resources with hotel specials! Here some of the many ways you can save:

Full-Price Ticket: Check to find out what full-price San Diego Zoo tickets cost. You can order full-price tickets online, the Best Value tickets includes unlimited use of the Guided Bus Tour, Express Bus, and Skyfari Aerial Tram. You can buy your San Diego Zoo tickets on their website and print them out at home.
Two-Park Ticket includes admission to the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park, available at adult and children’s rates.
2-Day Best Value Ticket is another discount option.
AAA Members: Get 10% off on San Diego Zoo tickets
Costco Members: Discounted San Diego Zoo tickets are available at Southern California Costco stores for approximately 20% off.
Zoological Society of San Diego Dual Membership: This tax deductible offer is a great offer good for one-year. San Diego Zoo Membership is good for 2 adults in same household (Southern California residents, zip codes 90000-92999). Single adult and child memberships are also available. Free Admission for All: The first Monday of every October look is Zoo Founder’s Day, a day when everyone is admitted for free. You are advised to arrive early!
Another Way to Save: If you're on a tight budget buy an admission-only ticket, walk instead and save about 30%. You still will save if you buy a combo ticket, but the lowest price you'll find for the San Diego entails that you walk and not take advantage of any of the Guided Bus Tour, Express Bus, and Skyfari Aerial Tram.
