Get freebies for your birthday guest!  This list is a work in progress.  Please note that what are offered as freebies may vary at different locations, and this list is not necessarily exclusive to San Diego.  Since each location is different and offers do change, be sure to call ahead to ensure that these offers are current.  If you wish to be ensured that restaurant employees will sing to the special birthday person, be sure to request so in advance.  Sometimes, they are too busy to do so, but don't let that stop you from your little plans!

Applebees - Free dessert shooter (five choices) -  Sign up for their e-mails.

Arby’s - Sign up and get coupons year round, including on your birthday.

Bakers Square - Free slice of pie - Sign up for their e-Club.

Baskin Robbins - Sign up for their Birthday Club for a free ice cream treat.

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream - Register online and you can get free ice cream!

Benihana’s Japanese Restaurant - Free ice cream.  (Check with your local restaurant!)  Sign up for special e-mail offers.

Bennigan’s - Sign up for their Bennigan’s Club and get a coupon for a free entree plus a free dessert.

Black Angus Steakhouse - Receive a complimentary dessert for joining the BA Prime Club and a free steak dinner for your birthday!

Boston Market – Birthday club is going to be new-and-improved. Stay tuned.

Buca di Beppo - Sign up for their E-Club to get a free dessert.

Burger King - Free kids meal to all kids club members. Join the BK Kids Club.

California Pizza Kitchen - Small sundae.  Free CP Kids meal during the month of their birthday.

Carrows – Get a free dessert now for joining.   

Cheesecake Factory – Pay for dessert, but they sing and write name on the plate with chocolate syrup.

Chilis - Free chocolate shake. Also, join e-mail club.

Dairy Queen - Free ice cream coupon in e-mail for kids 16 and under. They also have a Blizzard Club for adults with the same offer.

Denny’s - Free meal & sundae to kids under 10 as long as you sign up ahead of time.

Fuddruckers - Free brownie on birthday. Sign up for the Fudds Club for great deals.

Golden Spoon’s – Join the e-Club and receive a free yogurt on your birthday, special offers, and more. 

Hard Rock Cafe - Free sundea or if you are a 21 y.o. or over kid you might get a free shot from the bar!

Hometown Buffet - Join the Mega Bar Meal club and get not only a free meal on your birthday and anniversary, but a free meal just for signing up!

Krispy Kreme - Free dozen glazed donuts! You will need to sign up ahead of time.

Macaroni Grill - Free chocolate cake plus an OPERA-style "Happy Birthday" song on weekends.

Marble Slab Creamery - Kids up to age 12 can join the Marble Slab Kids' Club and get a free ice cream cone on their birthday. .

Marie Calenders - Free slice of pie.  Also, join their e-Club.

Red Lobster - Free slice of cake if you join their Overboard Club.

Taco Bell - Join the GenXmex Birthday Club, you'll be mailed a gift certificate for a free Combo Meal during the month of your birthday!

TGI Friday’s - Free birthday sundea/also get a free appetizer just for signing up!

Tony Roma’s - Free dessert if you sign up for Romo Rib Expert Club first.
