SDBM Sea World San Diego Tips
When you travel to another city it might be smart to purchase an Entertainment Book in advance and pull out coupons that will help you budget and plan your itinerary.
Advice for Families with Kids
- Avoid long lines for rides and go to your favorite attractions during lunch time, typically from 12-1 p.m.
- Be sure to take hats, sunscreen, and even something to place on the metal bleachers (a jacket works), as they get hot under the sun.
- Get to shows around 30 minutes early on busy days, as to ensure yourselves seats.
- Seagulls and pigeons are plentiful, so (funny as this may sound)... take wet wipes, and don’t leave your kids unattended with food in their hands!
- Take snacks, water, and entertaining gadgets or books for young children to be occupied with while waiting in line.
- Take your own photos. There are plenty of great photo opportunities. So, pack the camera (maybe even waterproof or disposable for the kids); you'll want it.
- Take a stroller, if you have doubts about whether you will need one.
- Take light jackets, and a parka (even for adults) if you think you might get wet (front rows of shows).
- Avoid paying full price. There are deals out there. Auto Club and AAA are good for starts.
Let's Talk Food
Keep in mind that food and drinks may not be taken in! Shipwreck Reef Café is a great place to eat that has healthful seafood. Surrounding ”Shipwreck Island“, you will be able to watch sea turtles, otters and birds as part of your enjoyable dining experience.
