Q: "I am going to a baby shower for friend who is going to have twins.  Are you aware of any discounts available in town?  I don’t want to buy anything online, as I want to see it in person before purchasing it!"

A: I am so glad you asked that question!  More and more folks seem to be having twins or multiples and they, likewise, are going to be looking for discounts and deals probably for the rest of their kids’ childhood!  Here are a couple of my favorite places to purchase gifts for babies, which also offer discounts for twins and multiples. I recommend that you check to see if what you are purchasing is on your friend’s registry, or she might get double – just a thought! 

Babies ”R“ Us:  A 10% discount applies to furniture, bedding sets and baby gear (car seats, strollers, high chairs, swings, gates, etc.).  Some stores will offer 15% off for triplets.  Plus, if parents-to-be apply for the store credit card they get an additional 10% off.  See individual stores for variations. Burlington Coat Factory (Baby Depot):  Burlington Coat Factory’s Baby Depot department offers a special discount to multiples. You pay full price for the first item, then get 20% off an identical item, and then 30% off the third identical item. Just mention the twin discount when you check out, in case the cashier doesn’t catch that the items are identical. The Baby Depot offers clothes, toys ,and equipment for newborns to age 3 or 4.  See the store near you, as each story may vary in merchandise.  To find a store or view products click here.
